Cash Cup #3: Team Dragons, TBA and Rainmaker take the titles
Cash Cup #3 ran on Saturday 3 October, $10,000 a region. 223 squads signed in across Americas, EMEA and APAC, and 72 of them reached a final. All three champions had won a Cash Cup before, and Team Dragons#1 AMERICAS made it two in a row.
Team Dragons won Cup #2 with 216 points. They won Cup #3 with 201, the highest total of the day in any region. Call Of Legends took game 1, and Team Dragons led from game 2 to the end.
Four squads split the six games. The Dragons won two, and their kills did the rest: 124 in six games, 38 more than any other finalist. Noble Dynasty#3 AMERICAS also won two and finished second on 164.
TanaRSR 3.76 finished the cup on 131 kills, the most of anyone in any region, with an 18-kill game along the way. The other three Dragons, Scummy, Astonish2k and dust, took the next three places in the Americas kill table.
EMEA: TBA from the first game
TBA#1 EMEA won game 1 of the EMEA final and nobody caught them. They led after every game, by 54 points at the halfway mark, and finished on 171. NoNames#3 EMEA edged Los Polacos for second by two points.
That gives TBA two titles from three cups. They won Cup #1, finished second to XXXX at Cup #2, and took this one back. PaG3 led TBA with 28 kills in the final, and unknowNRSR 3.44 took MVP.
OsmoRSR 1.95 of XXXX topped the EMEA kill table with 70 across 14 games. Teammate R7PTOR finished five behind.
APAC: a title without a single win
Rainmaker#3 APAC never finished a game of the APAC final in first place. They finished all six inside the top ten, averaged 4.7, and let everyone else trade wins. VteaM#2 APAC took three games and led after game 4 on 88 points. Rainmaker sat third then, twelve behind. They closed the last two games with 69 points between them and won by 24.
OrangePearlRSR 2.51 carried the kills: 46 across ten games, the most in the region, and the MVP award. RELENTLESS finished a point behind VteaM for second, with the most kills in the final at 81.
APAC ran the short format: 43 squads, one qualifying round, then the final. Rainmaker also won APAC at Cup #1, two weeks earlier.
Cash Cup #4 runs on Saturday 10 October at the same times: Americas at 19:00 UTC, EMEA at 11:00 and APAC at 04:00. The prize pool rises to $25,000 a region. Signups close on Thursday 8 October at each region’s start time, and the entry lists are on each event page.
